Another amazing capture, just at the right moment! Love how you can see the clarity in the ‘curl’, and the airborne surf! You should be sitting on top of the world for producing this one!
Ah, to have the courage
To scale the mighty surf
with a large board in hand.
And to be “sitting on top of the world”
Instead of lazing
On the beachy sand!!
What a great job “catching a wave”, Ellen, both for you and the surfer! Such a live action shot that I can almost see him finishing the run. I happen to be listening to a Beach Boys song on Pandora as I write this entry, so the timing is even more perfect! Well done!
Beautiful surfing photograph. Looks like it should be on the cover of a surfing magazine. You captured movement of the water and surfer perfectly. I can honestly say I can feel the movement just looking at it.
I think the color saturation is just great -three separate zones of color! Movement, wind, and surf.

Thanks Jan! It’s all a matter of timing (and taking a dozen shots so one will work out, haha)

Colors of the water, textures of the surf and spray, and the surfer cutting a path across—great composition.

WOW, awesome and summery shot! Love the movement and spray of the waves and the angles of the surfer and his board behind him. Well done!
Thanks Simone. I know it looks summery, but this is actually a mid-December photograph!
Wow, what a perfect shot! Waves, ocean spray and colors are amazing. Wall of green next to the surfer looks like sea glass. Just beautiful!
What else can I say? You have a gift of catching the perfect moment–it’s a delight to see your photos!
