love this shot! amazing to see bare trees already.
The screen of bare branches through which is seen the hazy blues of river, bridge and skyline is very lovely.
It was lucky for framing the shot that the branches had lost their leaves already. If you stepped back to see the whole wall of the Palisades, the leaves were still very much attached. But then you couldn’t see the city outline.
Hi Ellen! Love this shot. It reminds me of your “Empire State Silhouette,” where at first glance the photograph appears to be black and white but, upon careful inspection, it’s actually in color (those few remaining leaves gave it away!). Well done, and thanks for sharing your visual experience with us.
The framing is very “Asian” with the trees surrounding the mechanics of the
bridge. The framing makes it.
Agreed!
an instant Ellen classic! linear, stark, but beautiful. well done.
