I can’t understand how a photograph like this is even possible – a brief second when all the planets align, shadow and shape become distinct, a lone bird flies into the maelstrom, and balance takes over. It takes a true artist to recognize that it WILL happen, to be ready, and to seize it and make it her own. It’s gone in an instant, and to see it is to hold it forever. Beautiful.
Wow, wow and wow!!! What an amazing, dramatic, uplifting and unique capture here, Ellen! This one is out of the top drawer and ranks among the best you have taken. Well done!
WOW. This is absolutely stunning! The rays of sun reaching out from behind the clouds. The bird in fight. The texture of the clouds and the stark difference between the dark cloud underneath and the whiter one above it. The many shades of blue. This is one of those perfect photos. I could look at this one all day! Brilliant.
Jacqueline, I’m trying! Not easy to find new places, people, events to photograph, especially without traveling (which I am not really ready to do). Thank you for reminding me that you follow my work and what I do makes a difference.

Wow! You captured every dimension of storm, sun peeking through, and bird defying nature. Excellent shot!

Ah, to be a bird
To fly far far away
Far above the fray
To peacefully alight
On a calmer day.
Spectacular!
Breathtakingly exciting photo!
This shot is of biblical proportions with just the right touch of Jonathan Livingston Seagull. What a joy to be alive to see this moment in time!
Truly a singular moment in time! And that is why I always try to have my camera with me.
I don’t know what I can add that hasn’t already been said–except keep them coming!

Spectacular photo! Lovely proportions and perfect center of interest!
