What a wonderfully eerie and evocative picture. The bands of color are so striking, the silhouetted buildings fade to nothingness. A very beautiful image, like an oil painting.

  2. Jacqueline says:

An exquisite image! I love the contrast of the clear silhouette of the structures against the beautiful rainbow in the sky.

Deep, dark and disquieting, but very beautiful. The silhouetted buildings against the colorful sky are very dramatic.

Beautiful words in your email to us today, Ellen. Glad you can continue to remind us of the beauty that is out there through your photographs. I don’t see “eeriness” or “disquiet” in this photograph as others have commented, though. There is a serene peacefulness at dusk here and the amazing striations of color that you have captured gently blanket the world below. Well done.

Ahhh, what a lovely and serene sky you’ve captured with your keen eye. There is beauty to be found all around us, if you are looking for it.

Oh, I love this shot! The silhouette of the buildings and boats against the rainbow sunset are just beautiful. Very peaceful. Well done.

You captured a truly beautiful sunset enhanced by the interesting black silhouette of the buildings and boats.
