WOW! This is absolutely stunning! I’ve never seen a black swan before, and the reflection, especially of the vividly colored beak, is just beautiful. I agree with Bruce, the ripples in the water remind me of the texture of the feathers. Quite a catch!
Like Simone, I’ve never seen a black swan. You’ve captured it perfectly–I love the way the color of the beak pops!

You are such a resourceful photographer. Where in the world did you find a black swan? He’s beautiful but sinister all at the same time.
There are also many layers to your work. Not only is this a striking photograph with that flash of red against a multi-textural black background but it is also a symbolic statement about the state of the world. As you know, a black swan represents an unforeseeable, severe event that disrupts everything. I can’t think of a better description of this pandemic.
Love the gentle arc of the swan’s neck, its reflection and how the feathers echo the rippled water. Well done, Ellen!
Lovely colors and composition. Another “Captcha!”

A diamond in the rough
A life which could be tough
Unnoticed in black camouflaged physique.
Alas, all is saved by a startlingly gorgeous red beak!
Another beautiful quote Jacqueline and another great poem Bevy! I’m so happy that my photographs are the source of inspiration.
I too am captivated by the sinchronicity between the feathers and the ripples of the water, and the emphatic punch of the bright red beak. Wonderful!
Captivating and stunning, I’m mesmerized by the entire composition and beauty of nature you captured.
Wow! Black swan, almost black water. Beautiful composition.

Beautiful and unusual. I have never seen a black swan.
