Beautiful photo of what looks like an endless boardwalk and big, open sky. Love the contrast of the linear boards to the round, puffy clouds. Also reminded me of lyrics to one of my favorite songs: “everything was closed at Coney Island/and I could not help from smiling.” Well done.
That wonderful herring-bone design seems to stretch on infinitely over the empty boardwalk. Very intriguing, and revealing!
This makes you aware
That a good photo can show you more of what’s missing
Than what’s actually there…….

Yes, Simone, those words ring true. It was a beautiful sunny day, everything was closed, and I couldn’t help but smile, under my mask of course!
Love the endless stretch of the boardwalk here, Ellen. Feels like I want to take a deep breath, but without my mask! Well done to cheer us up!
The rushing perspective could be quite dramatic, but the eerie emptiness and sunny sky lend the scene a pleasing tranquility.
It’s strange to see the boardwalk so deserted–a symbol of current times. I hope the pandemic doesn’t stretch as long!
Awesome shot of my Coney Island roots.
