Over the weekend, I happened upon an old Quaker cemetery and found it to be so beautiful and peaceful. There were stones for entire families, some dating back to the mid 18th century. This family had its own tree.

Hate to joke about this, but that’s a very well balanced family! It’s so restful, it’s kind of inviting. Where was this? You did a great job of capturing the quiet…
And the tree is making lovely gestures.
Gives new meaning to ‘family tree’ You captured the peacefulness.
Lovely and so peaceful!
There is a timelessness about this photograph, and a touching element where one gravestone is leaning against the “family tree”, almost to be closer.
The tree is supporting the one stone but the one stone is also giving purpose to the tree! Sweet!
The tree’s branches spreading out to envelop the weary tombstones. What a lovely metaphor and a lovely photo.
I love the entire series of these – so peaceful. It’s nice to think that centuries later, this family was remembered through the lens of your camera.
Just lovely–perhaps originally designed as a foretaste of heaven? Works for me as you’ve captured it.
