    Popping up like spring shoots
But there is no way to trim it
    When really,
    The sky’s the limit…..

You’ve captured the contrast between old and new New York. The humble water towers and modest roof lines punctuated by majestic skyscrapers that used to mark the NY skyline are being obscured by the many needle-like, ever taller towers that have pierced the sky in recent years.

So many towers! Has anyone counted them all in this photo? It’s amazing how dwarfed the Empire State Building has become. Our iconic, once “tallest building in the world”.

I love the fact that there is so much going on – so many layers, shapes, textures, colors, sizes. It typifies New York, and is the type of image that one can enlarge and look at for years. It cries out to be a mural!

Wow, so much going on in this shot! Amazes me how the NYC skyline keeps changing, and I love how you’ve juxtaposed the old and the new buildings (and boy, do those new towers make the Empire State Building look even more beautiful by contrast). So many layers and levels to this. It’s like a puzzle! Really great photo.

What a great “Ellen’s eye view” across the NYC rooftop landscape! You have captured the true melding of old in the foreground to the new towers in the distance. Well done!
