The people in motion
Coming and going
As if astride an old movie reel tape
Which also rises to the apartment skies
Propelling these timeless Brooklyn Bound ladies and guys
So spare and yet so suggestive. It almost looks like soldiers bound for war, even though they are just people walking to Brooklyn. Interesting composition, especially in b&w.
I didn’t take this shot in black and white. I was shooting into the sun which blanched out all the color and made the black and white silhouette effect which I captured.
You get great silhouettes in your work, Ellen. I can’t tell where this is, but it makes me ask the questions, “Where are they? Where are they going? What do they see that I can’t see?” The inanimate structures are striking.
Great photo Ellen! Always love your silhouette shots and the addition of the curved lamp post makes it even more interesting. Well done again!

Such a great silhouette shot! Wonderfully interesting photo.
Love this shot!
Love the framing, and silhouette effect. And the virtual black-and-white! Amazing image
