Very sweet image – reminds me of the early days of bathing, where wheeled-houses would bring ladies all the way into the water, so their bathing costumes would not be seen by shocked men…

    Very cute.

Love the linear appearing lines with the little houses all in a row and horizon softened by the grassy sand, rocks, foam of the water and clouds.

The wonderful colors make the photo as relaxing as being at the beach. It is a photo you can keep looking at imagining being there.

Beautiful- looks like an Edward Hopper to me. And, congrats on the sale of your work!

    Haha, Bevy, love it!

Beautiful beachscape! Love the layers of sea grass, sand, houses, sea, and sky. The houses’ shadows only add to the image – as does their perfectly imperfect line-up. I love seeing the world through your eyes! Well done 🙂

This sweet image makes me smile! Love the little houses drunkenly aligned on the beach, and the layering of stormy sky, dark sea, sunny sand and dune grasses.

Great photo, Ellen. I agree with Joann – ode to Edward Hopper indeed! Love the soft colors and for some reason my eye is particularly drawn to the shadows at each little house. The shadows get smaller as the houses are closer to the water. Well done!

Wonderful shot of a beach moment in time. Enjoyed the depth created by the layered elements yet countered by the progression from smallest tufts to the infinite ocean. Who’s inside these lovely little cottages???
