What a lovely photo! Where did you take this? The grasses and ripples make wonderful contrasting patterns, as do the colors.
Beautiful – looks like spring is peeking out of a watercolor pool.
I can almost imagine painting this with finger tip ripple swerves upper left, quick green brush stokes in the middle scattered with tiny orange dabs of brush tip dots.
Did someone say abstract painting???? This is beautiful and would be a wonderful basis for an abstract painting, full of rhythm, as well as contrasts in lines, color, shape and texture. Umm, umm good!
very pretty…very ‘monet-esque’!
I love it! It has everything – ripples in the pond, reflections of both the green plants and the overhead trees. Absolutely “Monet-esque” and quite paintable.
Monet has nothing on you. Love this one, Ellen. Nicely done!
I agree with all who commented on the great patterns and that wonderful spring green shot of color. Great work!
I absolutely love this. It definitely has an abstract feeling about it. The composition is excellent. Interesting how the sharpness of the plant fronds and shadows contrast with the curves of the ripples and reflections. I like the counterpoint of color contributed by the submerged leaves. Now, if I could only paint as quickly as you can take a photo.
Beautiful!
The photo is beautiful. What’s most interesting, and what I appreciate most is the sense of calmness I experience when I look at the picture.
A charming shot. I’d like to see some of the other pictures you took. They must be a beautiful collection.
Hope springs eternal! Beautiful composition. You are a talented photographer.
Love the use of the ripples to create a sense of positive and negative space. Makes a very graphic and cool piece. Nice job!
