Love everything about this – beautiful black and white, and I love the lines (and of course the little ducks and their reflections!) And a lovely tribute too 🙂
Just beautiful….I am curious where you shot this as it reminds me of Little Neck Bay near where this “old man” grew up and spent many days checking out the sights of Long Island Sound….Good Job!!!
This photo was taken at Sandy Hook, New Jersey, which is part of Gateway National Recreational Area. I’ve been documenting this area for the past ten years. It’s a true treasure trove of the beauty of nature, in an ever-changing landscape.
Perfect composition in black and white Ellen! Beautiful!
This looks like a sketch from centuries ago. I love the way you captured the reflections of the ducks.
Delicate and sweet piece of art!
Contrast. Rhythm.
Variation of size. Line. Repetition. It’s got it all!
Tremendous impact as a black and white, Ellen! Love!

Reminds me of a Japanese brush painting – simple and serene!

This is such a serene setting in silhouette. Love this shot!
Looks like a woodcut – very stark and beautiful.
