Fantastic! Reminds me of The Red Balloon–and the little girl’s coat in Schindler’s List. But on such a happy occasion!
i just love how you spotted this little girl in the crowd – and so great how you were able to make her bright outfit really pop! Excellent shot and beautiful color/B&W choices.
When I first saw this photograph my thought was that a child sees all the beautiful color in the world without bias and adults see reality in black and white. This is a great image Ellen – well done!
Black and white and pink all over!
I really liked this image of the little girl sitting still while all the adults moved past her. It got even more dramatic when I turned it black and white while leaving her to pop in pink!
Ditto on your comment. That was my reaction also. Tres creative! Good job.
I was too busy to comment last week, but I like the way you contrasted the pink child with the b&w adults She gives a focus to the composition of people rushing about.
Reminds me of little girl in red coat in Schindlers’s List, but this is a much, much, much happier scene.
