The Last Monarch

I was surprised to see a butterfly on the last remaining flower of the butterfly bush on the first dreary weekend of November.  It lifted my spirits as I begrudgingly turned my watch back one hour.

Such rich color and detail in this striking image, Ellen! Makes me want to reach out and touch the butterfly’s wings. Great shot.

Gorgeous. I love the way the wings look like intricate leaves (or is it that the leaves look like green wings?) Thanks for this burst of color on what’s a dreary day here.

You have captured amazing detail on the beautiful butterfly and almost spent blossom. It’s a treat to see the vibrant markings on the butterfly so clearly.

What great clarity you’ve captured in this shot! I really enjoyed studying natures artwork on the butterfly.
