I particularly like the way your photography juxtaposes almost opposing sensibilities – work ethics in this case. The cubes in the foreground are so modern, so sleek, so transparent to their inner core, mounted on a consistent and industrial rooftop. They remind me of a high-tech computer core from a modern, sleek movie. They are balanced by the bricks-and-mortar of an industrial complex that reflects the traditional manufacturing world – clutter, vehicles, signs, loading dock, etc. Very nice balance of the imbalanced!
Wow, this is such an interesting photo! Took me a few minutes to figure out what I was even looking at, and I’m still not sure I know 🙂 I do love the cubes on the – is it a terrace? – above what looks to be a construction site. All I really see are lines and shapes and colors, and it’s perfect. Almost looks like what I’d imagine the inside of a computer to look like. Unique and well done!
This is a wonderful view of the Whitney’s terrace and Larry Bell’s (?) translucent red nested cube sculptures. The colorful geometry contrasts well with the informal organization and duller palette of the rest of the composition.
So here’s a question: If the red cubes were driverless vehicles, would they appear in perfect alignment as these, or would they be in a hodgepodge as in the cars below?
Great shot of this sculpture! I love the contrast between the neatness of these shapes with the messiness of the “real” world beyond.

Yes, my original title for this shot was “Where’s the Beef?”
I can’t figure out what or where the red cubes are. Interesting juxtaposition. Enjoying looking at your photography!

So interesting! I’m the daughter of a mechanical engineer and an art teacher!
