Nice perspective shot of early spring.
I love the juxtaposition of old and new, of angles and textures. I like the tracks from left to right, and the round hoop; I like the incongruous flowers growing between the rails, and the way the old buildings in the background lead towards life continuing on apace. I like the sharp horizontals and the stair angles. A deceptively tranquil yet thought-provoking image.
It’s not just balloons, you make me smile!
Awwww, thanks fellow photography enthusiast!!
I just love this series – especially Piers (an instant Ellen classic!) and Snake Charmers (something about those textures). Balloons is wonderful too, so many colors and textures. I love when you take us on a photographic adventure, thanks for sharing your world with us!
Thank you for joining me on the journey!
This photo reveals everything that’s extraordinary about New York: the High Line with it’s old rusted tracks, modern art and beautiful plantings; the spring weather; the tree shaded old streets and buildings; and of course, the whimsical colors of the balloons. Well done!
One of my favorite places to visit in NYC. You captured a delicious slice of it!! Love the punch of color from the balloons!
Balloons is definitely the winner here, with the colorful array floating through the High Line. I do really like Whitney in the changing exhibition, though. Such a strong architectural feel to it. In all, it felt like I was strolling along on a beautiful day sharing your experience. Well done, Ellen!
