Chicago -My kind of town! Spectacular shot. How did you do it?

This is a wonderful shot – for some reason I am taken back to the World’s Fair in Flushing Meadows (1964?), where the sense of excitement, possibility and globallity (if there is such a word) made everything new and wonderful. Terrific!

    Nice shot, wow wow wow!

One of my absolute favorite shots of yours – looks like a drop of water big enough to engulf a city! Just gorgeous. Your entire shoot, actually, is incredibly gorgeous. You did such an amazing job with such a beautiful city.

Wonderful capture of Chicago through the looking glass, Ellen! Can the White Rabbit be far behind? :o)

And now a separate comment for the Iconic Chicago page. Amazing shots. My favorite without a doubt is Waterfront, Evening. Riveting is another that has that unique perspective I like in all of your photographs. Well done and thanks for sharing with us!

What a magical shot! Seen as if inside a biodome or terrarium, the reflected buildings and sunlight are terrific against the moonlit blue sky.

  11. Michelle says:

Outstanding job of capturing the essence of Chicago! Bravo!

  12. Cheryl says:

You always have such a fresh and unique point of view. It’s like discovering this whole new world you didn’t even know existed. Very exciting.

The 60 shots give the viewer quite an extensive, and interesting, overview of the city’s sights and attractions. I especially liked “Architecture”, with the single person adding good interest and perspective, and “Touch The Sky”, with the building in the upper right hand corner being rather dramatic.

Thank you all for your wonderful comments. This photograph was taken in Millennium Park and is a reflection of the city skyline in the Anish Kapoor sculpture “Cloud Gate”, also known as The Bean. You can see other images of it on the Chicago iconic city page.
