Fascinating photo; the stillness of the woman and the firework effects around her! It must be the fancy footwork of a great photographer, or else she wouldn’t be sitting so still!
Ooh, do I love the motion in this photo! The lights remind me of shooting stars . . . or maybe even electricity. Like electric watercolors. Through the electric zing, I love the central focus on the lady with the hat. Can’t wait to hear how this picture came to be!
What a fun (and different) photo! The variety in your work is always so fascinating, but one thing that always seems to bring them all together is that they remind me of paintings–not just with regards to the subject matter, but the quality of the image and composition, as well. This abstracted image is striking!

It looks like a Hopper diner scene being destroyed in a fire! Love it, different and unusual as it is. A happy accident?
Intense, Ellen! This photograph is on fire. I love the still image of the woman and her hat while everything around her is in motion. Well done!
I’m reminded of a Hopper painting, Tables for Ladies, shot through a camera moving too fast. Interesting colors and effects.

I do see the Hopper reference, but the energy in this image is anything but.
Inspiration for an abstract painting! What a great photo.
A departure from the norm. Interesting. Looks like jazzisized impressionism.
