I love the reflection, the shadow, and the parallel lines of sand and ocean. There’s something Rothko about it – plus a bird I’ve never seen! A great shot.

A beautiful bird and a beautiful sea all repeated in reflections and shadow in a fleeting moment…….You are a good “photo catcher”!

A subtle and stunning photo! The horizontal bands of blue sea and white foam, contrasted with the verticals of the bird’s wing and its reflection make this a striking composition.

What an amazing photograph, Ellen! The motion of the bird and the motion of the ocean (it rhymes!).I think my favorite part of this photo, though, is the bird’s orange beak against its black head. Well done!

Wow! It’s amazing how you were able to capture both the reflection and the shadow!

The colors, shadow, reflection & perfect composition make this work shine! Well done Ellen! I’m picturing it in Montauk.

I really appreciate this composition, as the lines and the geometry stand out to create a striking image. I, for one, don’t typically think of geometry and ocean in the same space, but here you’ve created an interesting shot that has both linear and organic elements, all punctuated by the color of the beak. This is all around a great image. Well done!
