Never saw this view (under the bridge) before. Pretty cool!

Love the angles, and broken up by the curve of the support arch!

    “Under the Great Gray Bridge”
    is a great gray shadow
Cast by its sun blocking power.
And just to the right at the end
    is a tiny red tower.
    Small, that’s true
    But “great” in it’s hue!

What a fantastic shot! Is that the little red lighthouse? The arch with the lines of the bridge and cables is perfection.

    What fabulous framing!

Love the perspective of the underside of the bridge as it extends across the river, and the pop of the red sparkplug lighthouse on the distant shore, Ellen. Something about this image has a Mondrian feel to it. Rectangles, triangles and lines all in one field of vision. Well done!

  7. Jacqueline says:

Cool perspective! Love the asymmetry of the image.

Love this photo and photos that include the little red lighthouse. If there wasn’t already a book about it I would try to write one. The red color of the lighthouse really stands out and is an endearing contrast to the gray underbelly of the bridge. Thank you for sharing this wonderful photo. It makes me smile.
