Very evocative – makes me think of going into a long-abandoned building, or a country antique shop. The light and reflections are masterful!

What a lovely image of what feels like another (much simpler) time. The light and shadow are beautiful!

I love the darkness of the room against the bright light through the window! Seems like everything is hinted at yet not really there. Beautiful!

Lovely composition and use of light.

The horse is just a statue
    of course.
But if only he could gallop along
    The countryside out the window
    Where he should really belong!

What a perfect photograph, Ellen! It takes us back to a quieter and simpler time. The light illuminating objects in the room reminds me of Vermeer paintings. Well done!

The photograph is a wonderful capture of a beautiful artistic composition. The daylight from the window gives one just enough light to see and recognize some of the items in the picture. The darkness and dimensions of the scene keep you guessing what kind of room it is and who might have lived or worked in this room or still does. The items in view are suggestive of accessories in an English manor. Possibly very old. Beautiful photo.

Wow, what a striking image! I love the stark contrast between the solidity of the horse and the ethereal view of nature outside.

This photo gives me the feeling of imagining the history of the home with all the stories this horse could share. Love the composition!
