A beautiful photograph of a breathtakingly, beautiful sunset. The fiery sky is ablaze with color while the sun is in its last hurrah before darkness. Perfect!
Thank you everyone! It was a magnificent sunset. And Simone, I made a series out of these photos because I literally could not chose a favorite. In terms of capturing the “perfect moment” Jacqueline, the key is to take a zillion shots as the sun starts setting and then find the best one. What I love about this one is that the sun appears to light up the horizon and we see the full circle of its light.
Love this shot!
Like being swept towards the gates of Hell… VERY dramatic!
Wonderful sunset! Very dramatic
Sometimes the sun goes down with a quiet wink
But this one decided to go down dramatically
Before, as amazing as it was, it inevitably did sink.
Wowsa, Ellen! This photograph is so rich with color, hovering clouds illuminated by the setting sun, and a perfect orange ball of fire. Well done!
I love sunset shots and this one is spectacular
This is stunning too! Look at the colors and textures of that sky! What a series this has been. I don’t think I can pick a favorite.
Wow, this is a beauty! So striking.
A very dramatic farewell to Avalon, and summer, and to 7:26PM sunsets. I like how the sun appears to be dangling from the wire above.

What a spectacular photo! The rich color is amazing–it seems you captured the sunset at its most perfect moment.
