I’ve never been there before and it was well worth the trip. Please make all comments about the photos in the exhibition under this posting. Thanks!
These are so good! Makes Red Hook feel like a time capsule – trapped in a time and place now long gone. Great job in capturing its character!
Ellen, I’m so impressed with your photos of Red Hook. Congratulations on some stunning shots.
Lovely! Such a pretty borough!
Great pictures, love that spot!
Love this batch of photos, you manage to capture the beauty in the rough and tumble.
some really wonderful “moody” shots…my favorite is definitely the propellers…i always seem to like unusual subjects…keep up the great work!
These pix capture a lot of local flavor. “Propellers” is my fav.
Great photographic perspective! Red Hook seems defined by it’s perspective of Manhattan – from a unique angle; from a quieter, less flashy self. In your photo “Bench” the bench in Red hook appeared almost more welcoming and approachable than the Statue of Liberty it was overlooking! Yet, the statue certainly puts you in awe!
Beautiful shots! My two favorites are “Gone Shopping” and “Bench”. After I’ve gone shopping…I want to sit on the bench!
What a great changing exhibition, Ellen! Who knew such an interesting place existed so close to Manhattan? Lots of favorite photos, but the symmetry of “Bridge” speaks to me – almost as if the bridge is suspended between those two posts. Well done.
